CROCIFISSO
Il presente CROCIFISSO è la copia fedele di un antico Crocifisso del XVII secolo, attualmente nel complesso di santa Francesca Romana in Trastevere.
La copia è stata commissionata dal signor Pierluigi Bettuni nel 2014, in occasione della realizzazione del complesso monumentale “GOLGOTA” dell’OASI DELLE ORIE in Configno di Amatrice. Tale copia ha permesso all’intagliatore GABRIELE VISCONTI e all’architetto MILOS IPPOLITI di scolpire il Cristo in legno di tiglio collocato ad Amatrice, al quale sono stati aggiunti i due ladroni intagliati a mano dai medesimi artisti; oggi è possibile visitare il sito naturalistico per raccogliersi in un’atmosfera di silenzio e raccoglimento.
Questo CROCIFISSO presente in basilica, di dimensione h. 2,50 mt e l. 2,10 in materiale sintetico e intagliato con sofisticate tecniche in 3D, è stato eseguito dall’architetto MILOS IPPOLITI.
- Collocato temporaneamente in questa basilica, il Crocifisso è in attesa di una sistemazione definitiva nell’area in costruzione nei pressi di Via Vitellia.
“Fratelli, quando venni tra voi, non mi presentai ad annunciarvi il mistero di Dio con l’eccellenza della parola o della sapienza. Io ritenni infatti di non sapere altro in mezzo a voi se non GESÙ CRISTO, e CRISTO CROCIFISSO… noi predichiamo CRISTO CROCIFISSO, scandalo per i Giudei, stoltezza per i pagani; ma per coloro che sono chiamati, sia Giudei che Greci, predichiamo CRISTO CROCIFISSO, potenza e sapienza di Dio” (1Cor 2, 1-4; 1,22-23).
CRUCIFIX
The present CRUCIFIX is the exact copy of an ancient 17th century Crucifix, currently in the complex of Santa Francesca Romana in Trastevere.
The copy was commissioned by Mr. Pierluigi Bettuni in 2014, on the occasion of the construction of the monumental complex “GOLGOTA” of the OASI DELLE ORIE in Configno di Amatrice. This copy allowed the carver GABRIELE VISCONTI and the architect MILOS IPPOLITI to sculpt the Christ in lime wood placed in Amatrice, to which the two thieves sculpted by hand by the same artists were added; today it is possible to visit the naturalistic site to gather in an atmosphere of silence and concentration.
This CRUCIFIX present in the basilica, measuring 2.50 m high and 2.10 m wide in synthetic material and carved with sophisticated 3D techniques, was performed by the architect MILOS IPPOLITI.
- Temporarily placed in this basilica, the Crucifix is awaiting final settlement in the area under construction near Via Vitellia.
“Brothers, when I came among you, I did not present myself to announce the mystery of God with the excellence of the word or of wisdom. In fact, I decided to know nothing else among you except JESUS CHRIST, and CHRIST CRUCIFIED… we preach CHRIST CRUCIFIED, scandal for the Jews, folly for pagans; but for those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, we preach CHRIST CRUCIFIED, power and wisdom of God” (1 Cor 2:1-4; 1:22-23).
